While you're here, just rest a while.

South of the cottages, a few miles off of the main road, there's a pretty white farm house with acres of golden and green field behind it. A colorful garden clings to the edges of the house. To the side of the house, there's a red barn, with two chicken coops, a stable, and a few other small sheds scattered across the property. A few strange crystalline structures loom ominously in the field farthest away from the farmhouse's back steps. In the very middle of the centermost field, every inch covered in bright, colorful wildflowers, a large, proud tree stands. It's branches shift in the breeze. You're likely to see someone sleeping beneath it.

Farmhouse

The farmhouse is generally off limits for anyone other than the residents and explicitly invited guests. Thermopolium employees may come and go during working hours, but are asked to stay in the kitchen and living area. Largely, work for the business is now done outside of the property.

The house boasts a large kitchen and living space, as well as bedrooms and bathrooms on the top floor, ground floor, and in the basement. There is a library on the first floor, arranged by Historia and Eren (some of the books are stolen from the library). Various guests and residents have taken up rooms as their own, with a couple of extra guest rooms to spare. Downstairs, there's a dark room for developing photos. Evidence of Eren's hobby litters the surrounding space.

Upstairs, everywhere one looks, paintings and photographs are rapidly beginning to accumulate on the walls. The house is cleaned every day, kept more or less spotless - guests and residents are expected to keep it that way.

Barn & Stables

Horizons' animal population always seems to be growing. Enter the barn to find it full of friendly barn cats, though you may end up getting mowed down by the goat. In the stables, there are three horses and a land dragon. There are two chicken coops, and you're always just as likely to run into a group of baby chicks as you are a flock of full-grown chickens. There are even rabbits hopping around, and a dog that seems to prefer only a small handful of people.

Garden & Pond

Colorful foliage clings to the side of the house, eventually wrapping around to the left and unfolding into a proper garden. It is about the size of a standard back yard, and has a pond in the center - there are even a few fish inside! If you can figure out what they eat, you can feel free to feed them, but don't fish them out, okay? And don't climb in...

Training Grounds

The training grounds are free for all farm guests to use. Eren isn't stingy about his weapons either. Most are informed that blades, arrows, and even a gun or two can be found in the barn. Guests are asked to return weapons once they're done practicing, or to at least ask before keeping them for themselves.

The ground has been flattened, evened out for a proper sparring area, complete with a few target dummies. There are a few items left there for the purpose of exercise as well - you just might be lifting haybales instead of dumbbells. Eren is found there often. He'll teach you his routine if you ask.

There is also a massive obstacle course, built for both ODM training, and competition on foot. Giant wooden titans loom over every bend, the challenges increasing in difficult as one moves through the course.

Tree & Fields

It's a perfect tree for napping under. The leaves dapple the ground beneath it with a lovely marriage between light and shadow. The wildflowers beneath paint the scene. The rainbow brightens pastel, darkens into jewel tones as the clouds drift past the sun. Breezes makes the leaves above your head rustle and shift in a soothing song. You're feeling sleepier. You could rest here forever...

A brown and white horse that belongs to Eren Jaeger. Elke is larger and more muscular than your typical mare. She is a specially bred Survey Corps horse. This means she is exceptionally patient and not easily spooked. She has a subdued but amicable personality. Also, she's a very good girl. You should feed her a carrot. (artist's rendering)

She and Buchwald can sometimes be found sharing their carrots or touching noses.

Patrasche is a land dragon and belonged to Subaru Natsuki. She has a bold and tenacious personality, is exceptionally loyal, and more than a bit sassy. She is the best girl in the whole world.

Hades is a horse belonging to Hythlodaeus. He has a stand-offish personality, and will not allow anyone but Hythlodaues to ride him. He can be very affection with people he has bonded with.

Buchwald is a dark brown, thoroughbred horse with a black mane, specially bred by the Survey Corps to be fearless, fast, and patient. His personality is lively, but amicable, though he's anxious the longer he's made to sit still, and prefers to be at least running around or trotting. He was originally ridden by Jean at age fifteen in Paradis, but died during (one of) the (many) rescue expedition(s) to retrieve Eren. Jean wished for him to be returned at the crystal.

He and Elke can sometimes be found sharing their carrots or touching noses.

Watson is a clever cat that finds treats quicker than any other. He's a ruthless hunter of mice. He was named by Akechi Goro for his cunning. Watson recognizes his name, but does not come when called. He is often bothered by Holmes, who likes to distract him from his hunts.

Frog is a lazy, fat orange and white cat who likes to steal cheese and then run away at high speeds. She is obsessed with Eren (fathor) and does not leave his side if he is nearby. She is not allowed outside, as denoted by a sign on the back door. She was a gift from - and named by - Kanoa.

Celine is a calico tressym belonging to Jean, complete with a fantastic set of matching wings. She likes to hover or sit in high spots. There are several perches made by Jean and Eren for her around the premises; she observes anyone passing through. She will tolerate head pats and snacks, but doesn't otherwise engage, and will leave if more are attempted. She is allowed outside and is a competent mouser. She was a fulfilled request from the crystal.

Ketli is a feisty orange cat who belonged to Thorfinn. Since Thorfinn's departure, he mostly keeps to himself. He is not fond of others.

Holmes is a calico cat which was named by Akira Kurusu. Akira thought she was a boy cat, then found out she was a girl. He still calls her Holmes. She is very social and curious, and prefers Akira above anyone else. She loves whitefish and rolling around in the grass. She is often found with Watson, though she does tend to get on his nerves.

Isilme is a black and white goat, gifted to Eren by Saelfen. She has a stubborn and feisty personality, and seems only to care for Eren and Saelfen, headbutting anyone else who comes close. She's picky about food, but Eren goes out of his way to spoil her with good hay and greens. Eren raised her from the time she was a baby.

Gestalt is a brown hen. She imprinted on Takuto Maruki when she was just a chick, and follows him everywhere. (artist's rendering)

Daisy is a ketos (smaller than pictured) that Hythlodaeus created with his magicks; however, it has no powers. Daisy reaches about waist height to a humanoid, and does not do much more than stare blankly at things and drool. It enjoys eating fish and other meats. Hythlodaeus intentionally created the ketos to be docile and easily tamed, but that has backfired just a bit in the sense that it is far too friendly - it wants attention from anyone and everyone. Best suited for cold climates, Daisy enjoys the snow. During summer months, it needs to be regularly doused with water to stay comfortable.

Rogers is an ambystoma created by Hythlodaeus, though he was quickly claimed by Maruki. He lives in the pond, but is also known to climb trees and occasionally fly from the high branches.

Kerokero & Cat are two green frogs that Kanoa gave Maruki and Eren (respectively) for Christmas. They live in a tank in Maruki's room, which coincidentally no longer allows cats.

Walter is a wild hare Kanoa found and brought home, thinking it was a sick cat. It has since gotten used to the cushy life and will invite itself indoors and lay on the floor dramatically to get attention.

It will fight you to the death if you try to take off its bowtie.

Dog is a German shepherd that belonged to Maki Zenin. He is well-trained, though a little dumb otherwise. Maki trained him to attack. Eren has taken over his care in her absence. He is very loyal and loving, preferring Eren to anyone else. Eren insists that he is an outside dog, but he can often be found following Eren around inside of the farmhouse as well.

Orio is a black and white chick, claimed and named by Luz. Right now, he is unassuming and sweet, but is also fiercely protective of Luz. He's not a rooster yet, but he still peeps in the morning, trying to wake everyone up.

Cats, chickens, or other small animals can be named by/claimed by guests of the farm. Please submit what type of animal your character is bonding with, along with a (linked) picture and brief description of personality + any other details. Also, if you want to assume/gift an animal that isn't a cat or a chicken, comment here and ask about it or hit me up privately.
