[Eren does watch Akira - closely. Maruki uses the word "home" much more freely than Eren does - they must define it in different ways. To offer one's home to someone else, though, is a grand gesture, in Eren's mind. Akira's right not to reject that kindness. To some extent, his amiability grates. Eren isn't sure if he finds it to be disingenuous or annoying; from what Maruki's told him, it must be the second one.
